The (ISC)2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is the most recognized information security certification in the industry. The CISSP certification focuses on ten (10) Common Body of Knowledge (CBK) domains:

  • Information Security Governance and Risk Management
  • Software Development
  • Cryptography

Here’s what you need to know about the exam process:

  • Number of questions – 250
  • Time limit – 360 minutes (6 hours)
  • Passing score – 700 or higher (on a scale of 0-1000)
  • Prerequisites – five (5) years of security experience
  • Cost – $599 USD
  • Certification is maintained by earning one hundred twenty (120) Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits over a three (3) year period
