The EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) is designed to validate a candidate’s basic understanding of penetration testing tools and techniques. The CEH certification training course focuses on the following domains:

  • Background
  • Analysis/Assessment
  • Security
  • Tools/Systems/Programs
  • Procedures/Methodology
  • Regulation/Policy
  • Ethics

 

Here’s what you need to know about the exam process:

  • Number of questions – 125
  • Time limit – 240 minutes (4 hours)
  • Passing score – varies, based on exam
  • Prerequisites – two (2) years of information security experience OR have any other approved industry certification (e.g., OSCP, GPEN)
  • Cost – $600 USD (includes $100 non-refundable application fee)
