CISSP




The (ISC)2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is the most recognized information security certification in the industry. The CISSP certification focuses on eight (8) Common Body of Knowledge (CBK) domains:

  • Security and Risk Management
  • Asset Security
  • Security Architecture and Engineering
  • Communication and Network Security
  • Identity and Access Management (IAM)
  • Security Assessment and Testing
  • Security Operations
  • Software Development Security

Here’s what you need to know about the exam process. All English exams are delivered via Computerized Adaptive Testing (CAT), with the following requirements:

  • Number of questions – 100-150
  • Time limit – 180 minutes (3 hours)
  • Passing score – 700 or higher (on a scale of 0-1000)

All non-English exams are linear (fixed form) exams, with the following requirements:

  • Number of questions – 250
  • Time limit – 360 minutes (6 hours)
  • Passing score – 700 or higher (on a scale of 0-1000)

Regardless of language, the following requirements are the same:

  • Prerequisites – five (5) years of security experience
  • Cost – $699 USD
  • Certification is maintained by earning one hundred twenty (120) Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits over a three (3) year period
